This is the first of eleven signs produced by the Education Department of the Walton County Soil and Water Conservation District to be installed at the William Harris Homestead. The signs are about farming in Georgia, from a historic perspective to Soil Erosion and Conservation efforts in farming practices. These signs will be placed around the William Harris Homestead to be enjoyed by so many visitors as they visit the farm property. They are educational, informative, and interesting! We are grateful to the Walton County Soil and Water Conservation District folks, and especially to Dan Bennett and Catherine Reuter, who installed the first sign in the pouring rain yesterday. Left to Right: Catherine Reuter (Community Educator), Dotty Zazworsky, Dixie Gallups, Dan Bennett (Chairman, District Supervisors) Thanks to Walton County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors.
