EVENT UPDATES AND MUSEUM HOURS

Out of concern for the safety, health, and well-being of everyone, the William Harris Homestead Museum & Education Center has made the difficult decision to cancel or postpone upcoming spring events and adjust our museum hours. Please see below for details.
  • Blacksmith Day, scheduled for March 21, has been postponed. We will keep you posted when a new date has been set.
  • Public tours and museum hours on the first and third Saturdays at the William Harris Homestead have been cancelled until further notice.
  • Our field trip program, “A Day in the 19th Century,” has been postponed through March 31. We have been in direct contact with the schools scheduled through March 31, and we will revaluate the situation at this date.

The William Harris Homestead Museum & Education Center staff will still be able to respond to calls and emails in a timely manner.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support during these unprecedented times. The William Harris Homestead is a non-profit organization focused on serving as a cultural and educational center for the advancement of heritage, environmental, and agricultural scholarship. The support of our visitors, schools, Friends of the Homestead, and community is highly valued and is of the utmost importance. Revenue from our field trip program and special events play a large part in daily operations, and we hope for your continued support for the William Harris Homestead Museum & Education Center during this time. Please visit our “Contribute Here” page on our website, www.harrishomestead.com, to learn more.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Tomahawk Hank and the Colonial Frontier Life Team will also be on site to teach about frontier skills. Spend the day enjoying hayrides, craft demonstrations, and celebrate spring at the Homestead!
